Kalama Living Local turns ONE; Passport Event
Kalama Living Local Turns One & we had a PARTY ๐
A Lifestyle Brand Curated by Gena Graham | HOME REAL ESTATE
One year later, we're closing in on 4,000 members—and redefining what it means to live like a local.
Kalama Living Local didn’t quietly start—it launched with purpose. Built for people who love where they live, and believe small towns deserve big energy.
What began as a private Facebook group has grown into a recognized lifestyle brand, both online and off. With community-centered events, signature visibility for local businesses, and nearly 4,000 verified members, Kalama Living Local has become the digital heartbeat of this town.
Curated by Gena Graham, founder of HOME REAL ESTATE, this isn’t just a group. It’s the new standard for living local—thoughtfully, powerfully, and with a little edge.
๐ Private by Design. Personal with Purpose.
Kalama Living Local isn’t public—and that’s entirely intentional.
This space was built to feel trusted, elevated, and worth being part of. It’s not for everyone. And that’s exactly why it works.
We welcome those who live in Kalama, nearby towns, or have deep, meaningful roots here. Whether you’re new, returning, or you’ve been here for decades—if you care about Kalama, you belong here.
This is connection with curation—not chaos.
๐ผ Merchant Monday & Engagement That Matters
Every week, Merchant Monday gives local business owners, makers, and service providers the chance to share what they do best—with no gimmicks and no gatekeeping.
And the response? Immediate visibility. Bookings. Sales. Buzz.
Beyond Mondays, the group thrives on community-generated insight—referrals, tips, happenings, events, updates, and honest conversations. The kind you actually want to scroll through.
Because Kalama Living Local runs on shared value and consistent connection. It’s not noisy. It’s necessary.
๐ The Founder: Gena Graham
Real estate strategist. Brand visionary. Community builder.
As the founder of HOME REAL ESTATE, Gena Graham is known for her bold marketing, hyper-local expertise, and her ability to turn ideas into action. But Kalama Living Local wasn’t born from a business plan—it was built from observation, insight, and purpose.
“I noticed too many small businesses weren’t getting the visibility they deserved. There was so much talent, so many incredible offerings in Kalama—yet very few platforms designed to truly support them.”
Working closely with both buyers and sellers across the area, Gena kept seeing the same pattern: amazing businesses flying under the radar. She knew the community deserved more—and so did the entrepreneurs within it.
So she built something different.
A space where commerce and community could grow side by side, with elevated storytelling, curated connection, and consistent local engagement.
The result? A platform that looks like a brand, functions like a business hub, and feels like the best version of local living.
๐ From Quiet Idea to 4,000 Strong
In under 12 months, Kalama Living Local became one of the region’s most trusted digital spaces—serving nearly 3,000 verified members every day, now going on 4000K
It's the go-to for:
-
Referrals you can trust
-
Local gems you didn’t know existed
-
Real conversations with real people
-
And a consistent pulse on what’s happening in town
This isn’t a side hustle. It’s a full-blown lifestyle platform—and it's just getting started.
๐ Our First-Ever Kalama Living Local Passport Event
To celebrate one unforgettable year of growth and community, we introduced something brand new: the first-ever Kalama Living Local Passport Event.
Hosted at the beautifully curated GEM Studio, the event served as the official passport pickup hub and main gathering space. With its modern charm and vibrant energy, GEM anchored the day and brought the Kalama Living Local brand to life in the most inspiring way.
We partnered with several standout local businesses:
๐ฟ Bonny Blooms Floral, who had her signature floral arrangements on display and raffled off several of her stunning creations throughout the event.
๐ธ Reece Luxury Photography, who generously allowed the use of space.
๐๏ธ And of course, GEM Studio, which served as the heart of the event and elevated the entire experience, the official passport HQ.
Guests picked up their custom Kalama Living Local passports, explored participating businesses, and returned to GEM Studio to enjoy:
โจ Swag bags
โจ Sparkling bubbly
โจ Cupcakes and locally made desserts
โจ Succulent giveaways (200 plus)
—all sponsored by HOME REAL ESTATE | Gena Graham.
It wasn’t just a celebration—it was the beginning of a new tradition. A branded community experience centered around connection, collaboration, and a fresh approach to living local.
